Halle Berry opens up about Gabriel Aubry split

Halle Berry opens up about Gabriel Aubry splitActress Halle Berry has finally broken her silence after splitting with model Gabriel Aubry in April. The Academy Award-winning actress said it was a long time coming with Aubry, her model boyfriend, who is the father to her two-year-old daughter, Nahla.

"Gabriel and I had long dealt with it," the New York Daily News quoted Berry as telling Vogue
of her split. "We were done. And we were on a good foot, and we had decided what we were going to do for Nahla, and we were able to say, ''This will pass."

Berry goes on to say that there are 'no discord' and 'no fighting' with Aubry, whom she calls an 'amazing father'. "We have always been friends, we're still friends, we love each other very much and we both share the love of our lives," she said. "And we are both 100 percent committed to being the best parents we can be ... She will see as she grows that we have a lot of love for each other" she added.

Despite ending their nearly four-year relationship, Berry seems to be taking the break up positively. "You realize you are not meant to go the distance with everybody," she said. "We were meant to bring this amazing little person into the world. And I think that's why we came together. And because of that, we are going to be together forever, all three of us. We are a family until we are not here anymore."

Moreover, Berry said she is still open for love. "I'm not done with love, but I refuse to settle. I am a hopeless romantic. And I won't stop till I get it right," she added.

Splitsville for Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry

Splitsville for Halle Berry and Gabriel AubryOscar-winning actress Halle Berry and French-Canadian model Gabriel Aubry have decided to end their five-year romance but will remain on good terms for the sake of their two-year-old daughter Nahla.

"They are working well together and are handling parental duties without conflict," femalefirst.co.uk quoted a source as saying.

Although they were not married, Halle is said to have visited a divorce lawyer three weeks ago to find out about a custody agreement for Nahla.

The former couple have agreed to a short-term plan but a long-term agreement concerning the guardianship of their daughter and division of assets is yet to be decided.

Halle's first marriage to David Justice, a former baseball player, ended after four years in 1997. Whereas her second union to musician Eric Benet imploded after four years when she discovered he had cheated on her.

After two failed marriages Halle vowed not to wed Gabriel because she didn't need to be a wife to be happy.

"I will never marry again. I have a good healthy love for myself and love in my life. I no longer feel the need to be someone's wife and I don't need the validation of a marriage certificate," she added.

Halle Berry: I take responsibility for my own sexual pleasure

Halle Berry has revealed her top sex secret: she’s made herself responsible for her own enjoyment.

The actress was recently voted the Sexiest Woman Alive by Esquire and in the interview to accompany her victorious photo shoot, she explained: “You know that stuff they say about a woman being responsible for her own orgasms? That’s all true, and, in my case, that makes me responsible for pretty damn good orgasms.

“[They’re] much better orgasms than when I was 22, and I wouldn’t let a man control that. Not anymore. Now, I’d invite them to participate.

“I’ve learned my tricks. I know what I like. I do not wait around. I initiate. And I’m not all about frequency; I favour intensity.”

Halle added that she was surprised to win the title this year: “I was astonished. I was like, ‘I’ve just had a baby. Don’t you guys know..? This isn’t the year to pick me for this…’”.

The Things We Lost in the Fire actress gave birth to daughter Nahla in March.

Halle Berry voted the hottest pregnant women ever

Actress Halle Berry has been voted the hottest pregnant women ever.

Berry, 41, who is pregnant with her first child, blew fans away when she turned up to the premiere of her new film ‘Things We Lost in the Fire’ sporting a low-cut blue Versace dress.

The ‘Perfect Stranger’ actress saw off stiff competition from Christina Aguilera and Heidi Klum to top the list put together by maxim.com.

One Maxim.com writer said: “Descriptions like ‘over 40′ and ‘with child’ aren’t usually things we associate with looking hot, but Halle pulls off both better than anyone we have seen. Plus, we admire the guts it must have taken to walk into the maternity store and say, ‘Give me a big stack of the lowest-cut dresses you have.’ “

Christina Aguilera, currently eight months pregnant, came second in the list.

Victoria’s Secret model Heidi Klum - who has three children, secured third position because of her ability to “make maternity clothes look like Victoria’s Secret outfits”.

The top five was finished off by American model Brooke Burke and former ‘No Doubt’ singer Gwen Stefani.

Angelina Jolie, Naomi Watts, Jaime Pressly and Monica Belluci completed the top nine.

Here’s Maxim.com’s Nine Hottest Pregnant Women Ever:

Halle Berry Pissed at Parade

Halle Berry rarely speaks about the time, ten years ago, when she tried to commit suicide by poisoning herself with carbon monoxide. Which is why she's upset with Parade magazine for "regurgitating" the decade old story about her suicide attempt that ran last week.

"It wasn't my wish to go into all of that again in this time of my life. I talked about it on Larry King Live and Oprah when it was relevant, and I felt like it was important to help other women and share it with them," she says.

"But it's just not where I am today and I really hate that it's been presented like it is... I'm in such a great time in my life right now, it wouldn't be my wish to really revisit that period, but this outlet did and made it seem as if it were current again."

Catwoman took one more swipe at Parade, saying, "Because I have a movie out, some magazine has sensationalized some old material and it's not something that I want to talk about. It's 10 years old and I'm so past it."
